I don't think there is osd inside fbxine. fbxine looks like a
proof-of-concept to me. Nevertheless, I try to fix some stuff. I have
fbxine patched to use --post and load some post plugins. The tvtime
postplugin would be really great for deinterlacing. It's good enough
to know, when to interlace und when not (progressive detection). But
as I wrote before, the tvtime plugin makes garbage to vidix(fb). I
contacted the author of the vidix module, he fixed the G400 problem I
had before.

I think our only choice is to patch fbxine to our needs (== copy the
stuff from xine to fbxine and make it working). We (I on my hd) have
right now:

1. stdctl to control xine and fbxine
2. --no-lirc for xine and fbxine
3. postprocessing to use tvtime deinterlacing

What we need is osd support for fbxine and tvtime working with
vidix(fb)
