Maybe. But I don't know how to enable to in fbxine. fbxine is pretty
simple and easy to understand, but adding new stuff means reading the
xine lib api.

IIRC it's a design problem. Mplayer G2 should be able to use
DVDnav. But don't expect G2 this year :-(

Agreed. Maybe you saw, there is now a plugin called xine_cvs which
works with the current xine cvs and Freevo controls xine.

It should be possible. You (or someone else) had to write
xine-lib/src/video-out/video-out-mgavid.c (or similar path). Or
someone could fix (== reenable) DirectFB support.
