I would like to see you in Freevo's team :)
We already thought about using MPlayer as video device, but since we
use SDL and it supports a lot of devices, it fits just well.
One way to do that would be writing a SDL patch to use
mplayer+bmovl2 as device...
Also, how will you keep mplayer open even without movies and how
will you load movies from inside mplayer?
And now, let me try to convince you to join us:
Freevo is a cool plataform, we handle every screen layout using
XML, we have a great plugin framework. As we lack a dedicated graphical
artist we don't look that cool, although Aubin does an excellent job as
our graphical artist.
We don't have anything animated, but I don't think it's that hard
to do... but we have to be carefull with CPU usage, since some people
use Freevo in 400mhz cpus...
You can join us and implement the animation support. It would be a
great thing.
PS: If you know some graphical artist, please tell :)
Thanks,
Gustavo
