I think some of the confusion here might be on the word chosen for 'e' - 
ENTER, I think it could be replaced by a function called INFO. 'e' 
nearly always brings up the sub menu and only actually selects or enters 
an item if there's no sub menu options. The fact that it does select 
items too along with 'enter' for SELECT is just confusing. I guess it's 
just a hangover from some original design choices but it now just 
complicates matters and it makes working through the gui less intuitive. 
If I had a vote I'd say get rid of ENTER altogether and create an INFO 
event, I guess it could be named EXTRA maybe if you wanted a more 
generic word but either is better than ENTER.
