Title: RE: [Freevo-users] AverTV Cards

It's an old Dell 500MHz, may be 550MHz, with 512MB. I may or may not stick with this card, depending on the quality I get, but I have had it for a while and wanted to get freevo running first - I am setting up my first box and learning linux at the same time.

How fast is the CPU you're using? I'm unsure of whether or not to buy a
card with hardware encoding (and possibly decoding) because the drivers
haven't had a lot of time to mature, and they're more expensive. Does
anyone use such a card? Are they working on linux and with freevo? Do
you think that the price justifies the features?

Thanks again,
Matt
