Have you tried the digital device?

In my experience, btaudio was very good. It's 32khz vs 44khz (I think)
for line in, but you don't have the DA->AD conversion so it's
probably about the same.

Not sure about that; mencoder had an -endpos hardcoded before. It's in
the configuration file, but it's always passed.

When it's running in the background, try typing 'ps auxwww' and look
at the mencoder line; see if endpos is present.

If you're using the default freevo_config, for any version you should
have endpos either way. If you've made your own VCR_CMD, it's most
likely being passed too.
