there is a bug in freevo (the only explination I can find) that does NOT set the record device to the line in when mencoder starts. they need to add a function to freevo to do this AND set a record gain level.
simply out in front of your mencoder command in your config a aumix command to set the record device and levels with a ; at the end of it. maybe this will be fixed in the next freevo release. -----Original Message----- From: Jeremy Farnham [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, September 11, 2003 6:35 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Freevo-users] Problem Recording Sound I have installed Freevo 1.3.2 on Mandrake Linux 9.1, and after much fumbling and web searching, got everything configured except television recording. I can record the video successfully, but there is no audio. Watching TV directly the sound comes through fine, so I'm thinking that it has something to do with my Mencoder command line? An example of the line I'm using is: /usr/bin/mencoder -tv on:driver=v4l:input=0:norm=NTSC:channel=49:chanlist=us-cable :width=320:height=240:outfmt=yv12:device=/dev/video0:adevice=/dev/sound/dsp :audiorate=32000:forceaudio:forcechan=1:buffersize=64 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=350:keyint=300 -oac mp3lame -lameopts br=128:cbr:mode=3 -ffourcc divx -o testfiles/Movies/Recorded/09-08_05:00_-_Buffy_the_Vampire_Slayer_The_Initiat ive.avi -v -endpos 750 >& /var/log/freevo/freevo_record_1063057619.log ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Freevo-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freevo-users ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Freevo-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freevo-users
