The easiest thing to do is to grab the packages for 'freevo_1.4rc1'
and then do this:

dpkg-deb -I <filename>

which will give you a list of dependencies to fetch. But you'll still
run into the problem of recursive dependencies.

Nope; Python-dev is only needed to build packages; the binary deb's
don't need it.
