Hi, I've put parts together to build a Home Theater PC, but one major annoyance is the DVD drive. I have a Plextor PX-116A which makes an awful lot of noise when spinning, and I found no way to slow it down in order to make it silent (``setcd -x 8'' or ``hdparm -E 8'' have no effect). So the big question is: what DVD drive do you use for watching DVDs? How do you make it silent (if you manage to make it silent)?
