Viggo just told me on IRC that Rob Shortt also mentioned this MP3 problem, so when he'll be around again (I think most people use to sleep on his time zone right now ;-) ). I'm confident he'll track this down and provide a fix. As for the pygoom visualisation, I just won't use it, when I just listen to audio CDs or files I want to be able to do it whithout turning the TV set on, anyway (I'm not that far yet, because of lcdproc plugin compatibility problems, and when that's sorted out I'll have to make new 8-lines screens so I can browse the freevo menu and the media files just in my display).
