Viggo just told me on IRC that Rob Shortt also mentioned this MP3 problem, so when he'll be around again (I think most people use to sleep on his time zone right now ;-) ). I'm confident he'll track this down and provide a fix.
:) oh oh.
Yes, I am seeing the same problem (I think). I start playing a song and might hear a blip of music, the counter stays at 0:00 and nothing more happens, I haven't tried hitting fast forward right away. I have also tried different versions of mplayer, and mplayer works fine with the same command line outside of freevo. In Freevo I can hit stop and return to the music menu. I have the audio detatch plugin enabled but don't use it, and I'm not using the visualization stuff.
I'm not home right now but when I have a chance I'll dig a little deeper. Anyone else, feel free.
