Howdy ya'll,
Recently, I have been getting ticked off at the tv-out capabilities
of my g400.
The colors are fine, etc.; however, I cannot get the picture to
stretch to the screen, and if I do, it changes the size of the screen
when I use mplayer, freevo, etc.
I am using "fbset -fb /dev/fb0 -g 1024 768 1024 768 32 -upper 105 -
lower 45 -left 80 -right 0" which stretches the console to fit my
screen almost perfectly, but when I run freevo, the screen needs to
be adjusted again, I use -- "fbset -fb /dev/fb0 -g 1024 768 1024 768
32 -upper 105 -lower 45 -left 0 -right -60" However, when I run
mplayer from freevo, or from the console, then I need another "fbset"
to get the picture to fit my screen. Sometime, when I used the fbset
command, the screen gets totally jacked-up and I have to recover
somehow.
Questions: (1) Am I doing something wrong here? (2) Is there a one
stop solution to the nightmare? (3) Also, even when I get the
picture to fit the screen, it isn't perfect; there the left and right
edge are tilted by 1 or 2 degrees. Is there a different tuner
program to fix this? (4) If the answer is "no" to the first 3
questions, why can a Nintendo tune in my television better than $500
in computer hardware?
Thanks ya'll -- I look forward to your responses.
