It seems my problem with 1.7.0 is bigger then I thought... since upgrading
from 1.6.3 I found it to be very unstable. When playing a playlist,
somehow, I do see cover images, but Freevo crashes when it tries to open
something with non-standard characters.

For instance, I have my music collection in /home/michel/Muziek, and under
that I have some music of a band called "Oôs Joôs" in
/home/michel/Muziek/Rock/Oôs Joôs

Now, I can just open the "Oôs Joôs" folder from Freevo, but when I try to
open a subdirectory (the albums are in a subdirectory), for instance the
directory "Ben roik", Freevo crashes.
Strange thing is, that the files in this directory are named 01.flac,
02.flac etc... and one file called front.jpg, so no non-standard characters
are used in that.

In main-500.log I see this message:

Note that I had never any issues playing the music in this directory with
Freevo 1.5.x and 1.6.x

Any idea?
I just have no idea where to start searching...

Looks like more people are having the same (kind of) problems. (See the
Freevo-users: Picture folders-thread)
Maybe raise a bugreport?

*Onderwerp:* [Freevo-users] Music album covers aren't shown anymore in
1.7.0

Hi,

Since upgrading to 1.7.0, Freevo doesn't show any album covers when
browsing/playing music.

When browsing music, I see this in main-500.log:
osd.py: Bitmap file "/home/michel/Muziek/sic-mdk.png " doesn't exist!

I guess this should be "music-mdk.png"? Looks like it chops off the first
two characters.
The file in the directory is called "front.jpg" though, so this doesn't
make any sense.

Any idea what is causing this?
I have the same problem both with my originel local_conf.py and a newly
created one off of the local_conf.py.exaple.
