multilib is the cause of this, on my AMD64 system I use a pure 64 bit
system and have no problems. There are a few programs that don't work
correctly, grub, nxtvepg (dump), on a pure 64 bit system.

Works for me but it is quite possible that the struct.pack has the wrong
pack string. As I found with the v4l2.py stuff.
