TV-out needs to buy an DVI-Tvout adaptor from Apple. The quality of the TV-out image it's not very good. The VGA and DVI output image is very good. I don't notice nothing strange. The only audio output is optical 5.1 or analog 2.0 They use the same hole. I use the optical 5.1 connected to Logitech z-5500 digital speakers For controlling I use my j2me capable phone with the freevused plugin or the Apple remote that came with the computer with the Linux event driver plugin. Both uses the bluetooth included in the computer. The Apple remote has only 5 buttons including movement so it's not possible to use all the Freevo actions but it's girlfriend or wife friendly ;-) The distro I use now is Ubuntu 7.04 but it should work with most recent distributions as the Intel chipset is quite well supported out of the box. I think the only non-free drivers are the Wifi ones. The mac mini has 4 usb connections to add keyboard, mouse or joysticks and a dvd drive. It's quite expensive but is very small, does not make noise if not using the dvd and it has power for 720p x264 movies. I think Apple is going to sell a new generation of Mac minis with Core 2 Duo chips. I don't know if it will be supported by distros out of the box but I suppose it will work with the distros that will come up this end of year. PS: Please Apple give me a pay for this publicity X-D
