That is really strange and very irritating! Actually I do not understand, why that should be that hard, I mean PAL and NTSC are very old standards and every common TV is able to produce a good picture. But anyway... > Which version of df_xine are you using, from what I can see from the > firectfb.org page is that the directfb-extra modules are stil lagging > behind the core. Actually I tried with mplayer so far, but thanks a lot for the hint with directfb-extras, I was already wondering where to find df_xine. I will try that as soon as possible. I am using 1.0.1 by the way, but the kernel is very recent (2.6.22) From your directfbrc I learn that I should not load matrox-marven as a module and that I need i2c-matroxfb. I will look into that, but it seems that I am missing i2c-matroxfb. That should be in the kernel source, shouldn't it? Thanks for your help. I will report back... Hopefully I get it running this weekend, otherwise I will have to try to revert back to the old setup, as my husband gets unhappy after over a week without freevo ;-) Regards Tanja ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
