Ah yes, of course. I have been so engrossed in this problem that 
I'd forgotten that my first skel was "home built" and Apache worked 
in that without problem. It only seems to be in the pre-built skel that 
it doesn't want to work properly when in a VS. I've just built a new 
skel from the host, and again Apache works properly.
