I have had cyrus-imapd and postfix running inside a virtual server quite
nicely. Both programs were configured to use an OpenLDAP server. Postfix is
very easy to configure to use LDAP, and works quite nicely. I have had much
better result using cyrus that washington imap. Cyrus also has a filtering
language which make it easy to sort mail and bounce spam.

The only thing preventing me from using this configuration for a virtual server
is it runs a standalone instance of cyrus and postfix for each virtual server.
I would like to be able to run them through Virtuald and xinetd, but have not
had any success.

If anyone know whats involved to get cyrus imap or postfix working through
virtuald and xinetd that would be much appreciated.

Its hard to go back to only pop3 after using imap.
