This is too bad really, I just started looking into this and it looks like
it may fall apart (the community that is).  How can someone, or come company
really come up with a commercial product based on the GPL?

This is not ethical, I would not object to them selling their management
tools, that seems ok but to take code that is not originally theirs and call
it their new product ....

They are going to get in trouble for this ...
