I’ve used 1Password for about 15 years. I’m pretty happy with it and I don’t really remember how much I pay for it since it’s something I want to use. Back when I was running a small business it gave me some control over the business passwords.

When Apple’s password manager came out, I stayed with iPassword since my master password is over 25 characters — 5 random words and some junk, but I need to enter very seldom — and it is now so ingrained that it’s probably the last thing I’ll forget when I go gaga. I enter it infrequently due to face recognition and Touch ID handling most of the time. One reason I try to avoid Apple’s password manager is that if someone gets into my phone or Apple ID, they have no limits to those passwords. All my critical passwords are in 1Password and NOT in Apple’s password manager.

But… it really doesn’t help with spam.

I use LastPass because I got a $1 a month for life deal. I’m almost 100%
apple here, so I might move to their free one eventually. I use a pass
phrase that’s long and silly enough to make it pretty hard to guess.

As to avoid spam:

Yesterday and not long ago got a note from apple saying someone in..."SP" (i think it said oO): to be honest: I only got: a I didn't catch where because it went away, but I did catch: warning from apple pls change the
password:
Bet.
I really don't want to have to remember 9999999 passwords.
Reddit said: protonpass is good and I guess bitwarden is to. I tried that
with android and wowza. Rough.

So I thought I'd ask: Do folks use a password manager? if so what's good?
