My memory tells me that it is mostly analysis of how the commands are taken from the .htex and .ht files and then the output fed back into the same place... and of course, writing code for it. > Actually, I would like to have most of current .ht files in .htex > form, but this is larger effort. I'm not so sure about it. I had the impression that .ht file will not be included in the book format. IIRC most (if not all) current .ht files are original source files. There never was a .htex equivalent. > ATM I would like to keep .htex format as our main documentation > format. I'm not too enthusiastic about .htex, but first I'll try to recover the book and then I'll think about moving to .rst. I'd be happy, if we had a program (or API) that could query the database and ask for exports etc. (i.e the "dynamic part" of hyperdoc). Having that would give us a chance for other format of this information. I mainly use hyperdoc for this dynamic part. As a browser for the "static" documentation I find hyperdoc unusably old-fashioned and would rather like a proper (generated) html form with an ordinary browser.
