Yes.

I cannot give an example. The problem rather is: What *is* this subset
of LaTeX? Do you think you are allowed to use
\begin{table}...\end{table} or \begin{pmatrix}...\end{pmatrix}? Where is
the specification of what is allowed?

Switching to reStructuredText would at least fix that and it would be
certainly sufficient for the ++ docstrings and comes with the benefit of

1) rst+mathjax would allow to write proper latex math strings into ++
docstrings. I don't remember that I have seen proper $...$ or $$...$$
there. And this is due to the fact that HyperDoc doesn't understand such
TeX stuff.
2) rst can be automatically translated into pdf. There is no need to
write an extra program that turns the "subset of latex" into pdf (or HTML).

Do you also want to print a book of the API of FriCAS, i.e. ++
docstrings, or only tutorials?

I don't conider the axiom-wiki the best form for users to interact with
FriCAS on the web. If we had something like SageNotebook, that would be
much more comfortable.

But as always in opensource, whoever wants something has the chance to
do it him/herself, pay someone to do it or wait until somebody comes
along and does it.
