I'm not using dvipng.
But maybe we should first define, what the target of
)set output tex on
actually should be.
I don't think it was initially invented for its use inside emacs.
And unless MathJax cannot handle pmatrix, I'm not in favour of array.
There is no big difference in generating one or the other, but look at
the spacing of ( ) around the content. There must have been a reason why
some people invented pmatrix. No?
