It sounds that you think that there is a C library that does the the
zeromq stuff. Maybe I got the wrong impression that actually the code at

http://repo.or.cz/w/cl-zmq.git/tree

implements zeromq in Lisp, but now I've looked again and it seems that
you are right.

Pfffff... it seems more complicated than I first thought. :-(

OK, not your fault. So it means that I have to study a bit.

OK, then maybe a good approach would be that I first start documenting.
Of course that will take a lot of time on my part and will probably
thrown away (together with the code) in the end, but someone has to
start. I hope my motivation will not vanish too quickly.

Anyway thank you for your input. It'll take some time to digest your
information.
