That is true, but I think you miss the "fun factor". Every person has different preferences. Some people like to write new code, some people try to improve code, others just report bugs, etc. We need all of them. I wouldn't stop anybody from sending patches that make FriCAS just a tiny little bit better. We should encourage people to contribute in any way they can. Ricardo recently asked me in a private mail, that we should have a collection of small problems so that new people can start to make thei hands dirty. That's a good idea. Maybe the github issue tracker https://github.com/fricas/fricas/issues would be a good place to start collecting such projects. I have not yet followed this, because we somehow already have too many (unused) issue tracker for FriCAS, we should actually agree on just one and close (take down, i.e. copy the issues to the ONE) all the non-official trackers.
