I agree, or could we have a separate list for those issues?  Or were you seeing that 
as the difference between the friends list and the announce list?

Einstein is one of many who believe that it is impossible to prepare for war and peace 
at the same time.  I also believe that when one "concurs" an enemy through force, one 
still has an enemy.  Rather than changing mindsets, force almost always increases 
hatred and anger.  Current government actions seem particularly ill thought out as 
responses to terrorist actions by people within the country.

I appreciate receiving notice of the efforts at creating a local peace presence and 
regret that I haven't checked my e-mail to have read about it sooner.  I personally 
like the idea of the group being a sponser and also see buying organic as a way of 
supporting actions that are peaceful to the earth.  I am concerned, however, that we 
might make some members uncomfortable by taking a stand that while just rational to me 
may be political to others.
