Howdy ya'll!

Wisconsin here! Well I think that this type of discussion list would be very useful,
but maybe under a new, separate, discussions list, so that the original intent of the
friend's list is preserved. We could send out notices about any new germain topics
through the announce list (thereby allowing people to stay current with topics)
allowing them to opt in when there is a topic they find of personal interest.

With regard to the current post-Sept 11 situation, Jeb, John-e-be, and Carol are aware
of my view on this current mis-adventure (refer to my personal e-mail that I sent to
you three in Sept), but if you'd like Jeb I could set up and alternate news source
page for anyone who would like to see what other "credible" press sources are saying
about "the war on terrorism". I don't necessarily sanction any of the news sources I
provide, but it is through a diversity of news sources, that one can gain a better
insight into ANY issue affecting the world. I can also provide a reading list for
anyone that want's to learn more about, Islam, Central Asia, the conflict between
Israel and the Palestinian people. I'm a news junky, and study this kind of stuff as
a hobbie, while conveniently my partner does this kind of stuff for her work.

Here is just one example of how the current situation is affecting democracy in this
country

.....A consortium of major U.S. news organizations has decided
unanimously not to analyze and report the results of the $1-million
(U.S.) audit they commissioned to identify which presidential
candidate received the most votes in Florida in last November's
election. ...........
