I would think so too but I have looked in every path I can think of
(/usr/shared/texmf/tex/... etc) and I can't find any of the files in the
folders. Maybe a bad installation could cause me to not have the files??
I'm using emacs to edit the LaTeX files and I don' tknow about the
errors...and I can't really copy them because they are on a totally
different computer.
I have no clue ?????

If you're trying to do LaTeX this late, I'll assume it's for class
tomorrow(today?)... Take the easy route out and copy your files to
Kronos and compile your latex there. As for your problem, what program
are you using to work with LaTeX, if you are using one at all? Can you
copy-paste the output so that we can see the exact errors? The more
information the better.

BTW, if it can find "amssymb", there must be something wrong with a
LaTeX path somewhere...perhaps bad configuration or installation,
because I'd think it'd be impossible to come by a LaTeX system that
didn't have that package. :-) (So you surely must have that package on
your computer...just that your TeX can't find it.)
