Woa, short notice. That's not cool.

I can be there. I'll bring my Ubuntu CD (haven't gotten any in the mail yet) which is like Debian, for people who want desktops and not servers. I'm pretty versed in getting the OS to be "usable" for normal people, like getting MP3 (Divx, DVD, etc) playback support, binary video drivers, an i686 kernel, and other such goodness.

P.S. I'm interested in Dr. Bindner's opinions on Ubuntu. He's a die hard Debian fan. Good or bad? Good for Debian, Bad for Debian? Recommend to end users over Debian? I'm using it as my only os on my desktop now (it really helped me develop my Firefox capstone), but I really miss:

- a good version of Office (1.1 doesn't cut it for me; waiting for 2.0)
- Trillian (gaim doesn't abide by the HIG, and isn't fully featured)
- Textpad (vi > emacs; In the gui world I use gedit, but it loses some programmer features like striping trailing spaces)
