Overall opinion: good. Good for Debian: not good or bad, a toss-up. Recommend over Debian: not sure. I do think Ubuntu is drawing some energy away from Debian. But that's part of the freedom of free software. You work on what you want. Stay competetive or become obsoleted. I don't think Debian is in danger of that yet. No distro does as much (is as big) as Debian. But even I have switched to Sarge on my workstation--and been burned once by it--because I'm tired of waiting. And I'm more patient than most. I would recommend Ubuntu or Debian (Sarge) to new people, I'm not sure I would push one over the other. I'm not making plans to migrate away from Debian for division servers yet. -- Don Bindner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----------------------------------------------------------------- To get off this list, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with Subject: unsubscribe -----------------------------------------------------------------
