Thanks for the update, I'm glad it's working.  I'm a bit surprised it works since that's not what PAS support said when I discussed it with them, but working is good!

I'll do some testing myself and then update the ITS web documentation. 

I'll also see about updating the web student printer table with the exact printer models to make setting it up easier.

I will agree that I have quite seemless printing from the Ubuntu
laptop, although sometimes printing is different for faculty and
student accounts.

Like others, I just used a smb url to print to in the printer
configuration tool, like:
 smb://TRUMAN/krypton.truman.edu/vh2133p1
(although I believe faculty have different print server, so tp1
is probably right for students).

As for the "printing to IP address" workaround that we used to
use in the old days, I could be mistaken but I believe that
hasn't worked since shortly after the $2x10^6 Cisco network
upgrade.
