Note: The code from an external .as file is loaded and compiled into the .swf when you export the movie. Therefore, it is unnecessary to copy the .as files along with your .swf files when distributing the application. I was always under the assumption that the FLA took the .as file and compiled when it created the SWF, and added it with it, not that the SWF went looking for the .as file during it's play? Is that incorrect? I would have assumed the former, as if the Flash player would have to be able to parse AS code if it could dynamically include .as files - increasing it's file size considerably. Of course, I may be wrong?
