Hi Robin Not just Flash, there's a general dysfunction amongst agencies out there of the developer/designer difference. Certification has its uses as we know but I doubt telling someone "I'm a certfied Flash developer" will turn the light on for them, unless they're canny enough to ask what a Flash developer does.
There's an education project for someone here.. :D Cheers James > If a few more people got Flash developer certification it would help > agencies understand the difference between developer and designer. > (No time to get into another certification thread, I'm practicing for > the Perth launch demo tomorrow). > > Robin > > "James Ellis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > Hi all > > > > I'm really pessimistic about stuff like this... these agencies have to get > serious about the rates > > they put out.. of course they'll be charging their client $40/hr. > > > > 3 years AS development means they'll be looking for someone who started at > v3 or 4 and I don't > > anyone who coded in the 'little Actions box' that will accept a rate like > that.. > > > > What do all of you think about this?
