As I use OOo for personal use, I occasionally export it to send to a friend for general comments. For work use I'm stuck with MS Word and all it's strangeness (have you ever noticed how it always resets itself to the US dictionary/letter paper). I've never had a problem with using OOo (and I've been using it since before v1) to open OOo documents - this includes old MS Word docs, old OOo docs, old Abiword docs ad nauseam. I do have problems with OOo's page styles - just like MS Words - they seem to have been tacked on the end without even testing them. When I publish stuff for Internet use - or otherwise - it's a simple matter of File -> Export as PDF. dave _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
