It seems to get stuck with whatever it started with. The laptop I had when I
moved from Canada to the States most recently could not be taken off the
Canadian dictionary. Even when I uninstalled Office and scrubbed the registry
of all signs of it, when I reinstalled it was still in favour of colour.
I've used OO forever and transit files back and forth with virtual ease, but
Office has a richer suite of features. MS can be maddening, and when it is
truly wrong it will never concede the point - but I agree with those who are
arguing for it. At the end of the day, having gazillions of dollars and users
often makes for a better end product.
