I would like to make a comment on Mr. Dinowitz' last statement.

In the Renaissance, we had families such as the Medicis who spent
considerable money and effort to find potentially great artists and then
provide them with the resources that allowed them to learn and create, what
I consider to be, some of the greatest works of art in human history. Our
history is also replete with starving artists who died paupers.

CF, and programming in general, is both an art and a science. It has cold
technical requirements, but its form can be greatly complicated and diverse,
allowing for creative and artistic thought.

There is, however, one big difference between the art of Michaelangelo and
Rafael, and the code and methodology books of today. People make money from,
and increase their earning potential with, today's art.

I don't think that Gates has ever opened his doors to starving freelance
coders. The Medicis are dead. We have no National Endowment of the Code.

I would have loved for the online version to be free but the decision was
not to. On the other hand, my printed material is always online free. And as
for the cost of development, let me just say that both Fusion Authority and
Michael Dinowitz have a bank account very close to $0 for the time being.
