I tend to get a little too carried away with simple points sometimes...;')

  My point was that people shouldn't expect authors or coders to do work for
free. They don't. That, while the work is being performed for lots of
reasons, compensation for the time is one of the biggest (I suspect). If
they can't make a living of it, they'll go do something else.

  The book is proving to be very informative. Thanks.
