here's verity's response..
Brian -
In order to log a call with Verity's technical support department you will
need to provide your entity Id number.
All Verity customer's receive an entity Id number when they purchase any
Verity product. A entity Id number informs the technical support department
which Verity products the customer may have, the operating systems they may
be using as well as information in regards to current maintenance
agreements.
Since you are an ColdFusion customer you will need to log your questions
with ColdFusion technical support department.
Thank you,
Jodie Gerred

Subject: RE: OT Verity question
I've had problems with Verity solved in the past by going directly to their
site and searching their knowledge base. Seems like they now make it only
available to their own customers, if you do find a way in do let us know as
it was a good resource.
There's lots of undocumented (by Allaire) features of the Verity 97 search
engine that were covered rather well by the Verity KB.
Good luck,
Noam
