Guys, relax!
Macromedia is not the kiss of death. They will support X with Allaire
Products and they will work. Maybe I'm wrong, but I remember not to long
ago when a Win equivalent Mac cost $4,000. They blundered their market
share into Bill Gates deep pockets, and never looked back.
Also, not everyone is thrilled with open source software. Tech support is
always an issue, and I see no reason to hunt fixes, patches, and upgrades
down. I haven't been to a Linux users group yet that didn't send their
flames via Outlook, and cuss Msoft while doing it.
Allaire fell into the same deep developer's hole that is so common today.
They were coders not businessmen. I love CF Studio, but check out the stock
prices after insider sales. It plummeted each time they sold stock. Why,
they were to small, grew to quick and they, and we, paid the price. Maybe,
Macromedia won't let the same thing happen.

wouldn't couldfusion solve this problem by being developed on a java
plateform, and java running on any machine that has a virtual machine for
java. I would think that with CF5 would allow Mac users to do this.
