It would easier on us tool-heads to expand the spec to include ==> than ->, if
only because ==> keeps all the i/o indicators the same length. If the spec
says -->, ->, ++>, +>, <--, and <- are all valid (not to mention <-> and +++),
then tools will have to extract the first three characters of an attribute
line, trim the result, and then check for validity. Is there some problem with
==> and <== that I'm overlooking?
