Hi Alan,
This is not an environment variable that CF returns. It's just something
that we all need to know in many of our apps.
Unfortunately, we don't have any standard set of variable names to do these
common things. These are the ones I use:
- request.os.delimiter
- request.os.webroot: the file-system path of the web-server root
- request.os.cfroot: location of CF's root relative to webroot (usually "/",
unless on a shared server)
- request.os.collectionsdir: file-system location of Verity collections
directory
Then my applications have their own "request.app" variables, which usually
refer to this global set of "request.os" vars.
I'd love to see this sorted out inot a decent set of standard vars and
names.
