True of files when they are updated, too.

We update /DB/index every morning at 2a.
We do, however, use SQL 7 Full-text. A lot faster than Verity/CFAS 4.5.1.
Also, easier to combine SQL7 full-text search with ordinary SQL in one
step. With Verity it was a two-step process.
I'll be interested in what's said about Verity's K2.
