I don't know if it can do a db search. I'd suspect no, as its power is in
burning through tons of text. But then, I've never seen why people use
Verity for db searches. The problem I see is that once your db is modified
after you index your Verity collection, you are sitting on an inaccurate
index. And yes you could re-index your collection every time the db is
modified; but with that much going on, ya might as well execute your search
directly in SQL anyway.
Of course, the "change content = inaccurate index" issue is also true for
dtSearch. However, compared to db content, text documents tend to not change
as much, and are more suitable to a batch-process indexing scheme.
