Stacy, I understand what you're saying. On a philosophical level, Roger is
undoubtedly correct, but when you're first starting out, you need to grasp
*a* way of doing something, even if it's not *the* way--even if, as Roger
and Lee point out, *the* way doesn't exist. I invite you to pose a series of
questions and I'll provide *an* answer for them.

"There are no right answers, only popular belief."..No idea who said that
but I think they were right. ;)
The idea of a newbie FAQ is to help eleviate the obstacle of a newbie
sitting there wondering if it IS personal preference or whether there's a
strategic goal behind the technique. Five times now I've attempted to build
a FB app only to turn back due to time constraints because I found my self
trying to figure out all the discrepancies to see which technique "fit" my
situation...although each time I've tried I've picked up another FB "habit"
it seems. :)
I'm just saying that from my experience so far the roadmap seems at
times...dimly lit. Either that or not all my dogs are barking...which is a
strong possibility. ;-)

Stacy,
The solution to the problem can be found by looking at the problem itself.
You're being slowed down by variations in style, not substance.

You're seeing multiple ways of answering those questions because there is no
right answer... just some opinions founded on personal preference.
