Well I gotta say 'amen' to that, (like the 'grizzled lurker' description, gives
me something to aspire to!), now here I am back with another question. How do
custom tags fit in the framework or do you just leave them as they were in the
Coldfusion custom tags folder?

As a once quite-active newbie (now a grizzled lurker), I can attest to the
incredibly embracing nature of the entire FB community (well, there might be
one or two exceptions, but no need to worry about those at the moment :).
While the participating crew may fluctuate on any given day, the advice and
support is uniformly high and always delivered with friendly patience. This
is certainly one of the most supportive (and often entertaining!) developer
communities in existence.

What made it truly special to me is that the leading lights of the group are
'just folks', and as down-to-earth as anyone you'll ever meet (as your
experience with Jeff has shown). And if you don't believe that last
statement, I encourage you to stop by Hal's room any night at the next
conference you attend :).

Speaking of conferences (this is an unpaid endorsement :), I can't speak
highly enough of the excellent work Michael Smith and the Teratech folks
have done organizing CFUN (now CFUNITED) over the last several years. This
year's event promises to be the best ever. If you've never attended one,
I'd strongly encourage you to go and meet some of the folks face to
face--other than one of Hal's classes, it will most likely be the best
learning experience you can have as a developer. It's also great fun, and
it gives you a chance to pay off your 'beer debts' to the folks who've
helped you :).

Welcome to the party, Andy--the fun is only beginning . . .

Cheers,
REM O-
