I have been using a next button that submits and passes the variables down
the page, I was just wondering if FB had some hidden feature I didn't know
about.  We are only 2 weeks into FB.

I wonder if the simplest solution would be to divide the form into two
forms. The first form would contain just the select box(es) that determine
the configuration of the rest of the form fields. When the user submits this
form, you could return a form that is configured in accordance with the
option(s) selected. This would enable you to use straight form submissions,
and avoid anything "fancy" that could interfere with accessibility.
