Dina,
As a slightly different explanation, the reason for having an application.cfm file is
to include certain variables/information in all files. Basically you can use the
application.cfm to set "global" variables for the app.
This same thing is accomplished in FB using the fbx_settings.cfm file which is where
you put all of your variable definitions for that circuit. With the design of FB,
sub-circuits also inherit any information in any fbx_settings files above them, so you
can create global variables using the fbx_settings file just as you would in the
application.cfm file.
The application.cfm file can still be used, there is nothing prohibiting it. But as
Kay mentioned, the use for it has just dwindled.
