I greatly appreciate all the kind thoughts from EVERYONE and know that no one was trying to profit off something I did. It does raise some very real, very important considerations about intellectual property which we, as a community, just haven't dealt with yet. I think these may be the birthpangs while we figure out just what intellectual property means in this context; I know it's not at all clear to me. Anyway, many thanks to everyone and I have just one request: Can we take this over to fbcommunity?
;-) Always the OT cop, Hal -----Original Message----- From: John Jonathan Kopanas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Sunday, June 02, 2002 9:52 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Hal Helms latest writing I think everyone including myself and Timothy respect and greatly appreciate Hal's work. Hell, I tell my professors and supervisors about him. He is one of my Software Engineering heroes even though I don't think he has been referred to as a Software Engineer. Any book he writes I am willing to pay for. No problem. I have been on the list to buy his Fusebox book since CF North, soon as I got back I signed up online. I think one of the main reasons I continue to program is CF is because of him and the rest of the community. I know I was asking much but my impression of him was that if it did not take long i.e. 5-15 minutes he would not mind doing it since he is already giving it away for free. I could be wrong. If I insulted you Hal in any way please accept my sincere apologies. Sorry. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Peters" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, June 02, 2002 9:27 PM Subject: Re: Hal Helms latest writing > FWIW, I have to agree, Steve.
