I agree with you as well on this.

Especially for applications that are very visual in nature.  In some of the
research I have seen lately they seperate the functional requirements
gathering from Usability requirements gathering and then merge them later.
I don't really like that way either.

I think it would be more then a few more.  I guess I just have had bad
experiences with graphic artists, ie they are artists, and they are not very
good with change, so I just want to limit them before I get a graphic artist
to create a look/template for the site.
