That would only work if you use a template for one and only one data file. If you use a single template for multiple orders and data files that would not work. The same business card template may be used for orders dan0001, dan0002 and dan0003 with different names for each. The people in fulfillment would not have any idea which order is to ship with which card print.
If I could include a variable for a jobID number passed as part of the data file to be programmed within the imposition template that would be greatly appreciated. --- David A. Kevin, If you have versions 4.x or 5.0, you can turn on the Page Info check from the Imposition tab in the Compose dialog, the template file name will be printed at the bottom of the imposed sheet (or a regular page without imposition). We do a lot of printing on pre-printed shells, and it would be helpful for our bindery/fulfillment center to have some way of seeing which print job goes with which order.
